“Clean, good looking and functional wetsuit, at a good price”
Overview: I’ve always felt more comfortable in a short sleeve steamer. Although not having the unlimited stretch of an E-Bomb, this suit feels great on and is perfect for those mid-season waters. The Aggrolite range is new from Ripcurl and I wanted to try one to compare it to their more expensive, high-end wetsuits. I have been pleasantly surprised with the flexibility and longevity of the neoprene.
Warmth: Being 2mm and short sleeve I wouldn’t be able to get through winter. As a surfer that feels the cold in the water I like to wear this suit a fair bit through summer as well as those in-between seasons so it gets a fair bit of use.
Seals: This suit is glued and blind stitch sealed with E4 neoprene taped on the inside at the critical points (areas under most stress when stretched). I like these methods as they allow for the most stretch possible for the neoprene whilst keeping the suit warm. I feel the highest quality part of the suit is the glideskin collar. I like the high-cut neck as it allows for as little flushing as possible.
Comfort: With the chest zip entry I found this suit super easy to get on and off. Although it’s not a top-end wetsuit, the neoprene is super lightweight and has quality stretch, especially in the water. I also find the neoprene doesn’t hold much water, so it stays light and dries relatively quickly.
- 2mm E4 + Freeflex Neoprene
- Sealed Glued and Blind stitching with critical E4 Taping
- Glideskin Collar
- Internal Key stash pocket
- Superior comfort at an affordable price
- Flexible yet Durable
- Good looking with subtle brand badge
- Zip key pocket on the leg would be better instead of internal under the chest entry.
