“Watertight as a submarine!”
I’ve been wearing the Highline C/Z for the last week or so and it is the most watertight wetsuit I’ve ever owned due to the double seals (internal neoprene tape and external liquid seals) and heavy-duty chest zip system. Additionally, thermal smoothie panels on the chest and back are always great for cutting down wind chill and soaking up some sun plus Quiksilver’s Warm Flight Infrared lining is soft, fluffy and quick-drying.
Every brands neoprene gets a bit stretchier each season and Quiksilver’s 2018 winter range is no exception, it has been really comfortable to surf in all day and particularly easy to paddle in.
The only faults I can find are the big zip at the chest which can catch you as you pull the suit on or off (but admittingly will probably last a lot better than most do) and the key storage loop which is in the chest and definitely not as easy to access as one on the thigh panel. Apart from those minor details this is a brilliant wetsuit, especially considering at $550 its well under the price of comparable suits from other brands.
- Chest zip entry
- F’N Lite 2 Neoprene
- Thermal Smoothie on chest and back panels
- Double sealed seams with F’N Lite internal taping and Hydrolock external liquid seals
- Warm Flight Infrared 2x thermal lining chest to knee
- Warm Flight lining on lower legs and arms
