Ellie’s Overview:
The FRK by Kelly slater and Dann Mann is one of the best all-rounder shortboards I’ve ridden so far. From the first wave I caught on it I noticed how manoeuvrable it is, it was like before I even thought of turning, the board was naturally doing it for me

The FRK has a rounded tail and holds a line through the lip and allows me to do tighter turns in the pocket. Being a bit wider than my normal boards it also seems to be easier to control. So far, I’ve ridden this board in 1- 5ft waves, choppy and clean, and it has performed really well for me in everything from a small grovel to nice clean waves with a bit of size. The last couple of months I’ve been riding the DHD, DNA 5’5x 17 ¾ x 2 1/6 – 21L which I find needs a bit more of a punchier wave to perform, whereas the FRK, because it is epoxy doesn’t need to be pushed as much and goes a lot easier in sloppier waves.

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced surfer I recommend getting this board under your feet.

Ollie’s Overview:
The FRK by Kelly Slater and Dann Mann is a beast of a board! I am stoked every surf I have on it and loving that it works in any size waves, bumpy, fat or bowly. It is an incredible board with an insane amount of speed and drive produced with every pump, making me feel like any manoeuvre is possible and really giving me confidence to push myself further in my surfing.

The FRK helps me to try new, more challenging turns, creating more drive and hold when attacking the lip with speed.  This was my first epoxy board as well as my first rounded pin tail, so I was excited to try it. I have ridden this board in 2- 6-foot waves and have enjoyed riding it in both. It duck dives like a gem and paddles really fast in to waves. The FRK gave me the ability to move quickly and  allowed me sit out further than most and get the pick of the bigger and better waves !

Highly recommend the FRK for anyone wanting a real high-performance board, it will meet your current needs and give you the ability to take your surfing to the next level.
