It’s got bullets on it, so you know its serious

Recommended Conditions: (for the 6’5”)
In perfect big waves (eg. Indo) – 8-12ft.
If it’s less perfect/predictable or just choppy; 6-10ft (should be comfortable in 12ft on the 6’10”)

The Artillery is available only in Firewire’s FST (future shapes technology) construction which is by far their strongest and also heavier than other epoxys which is perfect for a step up. I’ve had mine for around 3 years and the FST glass job has been unbelievable – haven’t put a mark on it despite taking all of the worst beatings of my life riding it and hitting plenty of rocks at the sketchy big day jump spots.
The biggest wave I’ve had on my artillery was around 12ft and it handled the speed fine. However, when the surf gets big at home the take off spot is a huge area and the waves are mostly about the drop so I I prefer to have a bit more length under me once it gets to this size.

All of the Newcastle staff are big fans of the Firewire guns; I have a 6’5”artillery and a 7’0” flexfire, Fletch has a 6’3” and a 6’10” artillery and Brad has a 6’8” flexfire.
