“With amount of money Nike has thrown at skateboarding recently they’ve been making some really good shoes”

Price: $120
Sizes Available: 7-17!

Overview: The SB Zoom Ejecta’s combine different aspects of previous shoes to make something suitable for any style of skater. I chose these over other brands and styles of Nike for these features and because they look good and last well. Additionally, this Style of Nike fits people such as myself with a wider foot and still provides that extra bit of control that some of the chunkier shoes lack.

Features:

  • Zoom heel cushion for heavy impacts
  • Suede toe for better flick and board feel

Performance: I’ve skated a few of this type of shoe and the difference between the Nike Heel Protection and that of other brands is definitely noticeable – I tend not to get heel bruises as much but they still maintain that prefect level of board feel. Having the laces moved further back one the front of the shoe means you snap less and more of the suede with each flick. It’s probably on the higher end of the skate shoe price range, but I feel the time you get out of them and the superior quality makes up for it.

Pros:

  • Increased board feel
  • Heel protection
  • Synthetic longer lasting material
  • Durable
  • Lightweight

Cons:

  • Price
  • Spending money with non-skate companies
