“There is no reason to use a grip made from non-renewable oil”
This Slater Designs/Bloom Foam collaborated grip pad is made from high-performance and flexible foam sourced straight from algae biomass which has been harvested from freshwater sources throughout the world. This is a brilliant process which;
- Helps improve the quality of waterways by removing algae which is harmful to plants, animals and people
- Recirculates freshwater back into the habitat
- Aids CO2 capture from the atmosphere
All up a single pad returns 106 litres of filtered water to the habitat and saves the equivalent of 22 balloons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. Even the packaging is fully biodegradable.
Apart from all this good stuff, the pad performs great; it stays stuck down, doesn’t fall apart and is grippy/soft. I have been using the Slater Designs Pad on my last board and have just thrown another one on my new MR Super Twin. They come in two simple colours; black and grey!
Basically, there is no reason to use a grip made from non-renewable oil
